CONSTRUCTION BULLETIN April 11, 2016

NEWINGTON

CTfastrak Newington Junction Station - Parking lot construction is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, to Friday, April 15, 2016. Work will take place during normal daytime hours, and there are no anticipated disruptions to existing station parking.

Pedestrian and bus access to the station will not be affected, however the existing turnaround and pedestrian drop-off area will be closed during this time


Please Be Advised:

  • Construction will not affect bus routes or schedules.
  • Signs, cones, and barriers will be posted as necessary to help guide the public.
  • All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.

WEST HARTFORD

CTfastrak Elmwood Station - Permanent light pole installation at the new parking area is scheduled from Tuesday, April 5, to Friday, April 8, 2016. Most of the work will take place during the evening and early morning hours, and disruptions to parking will be kept to the minimum possible extent.

Please note that some parking spaces may be taken for construction during this period, and commuters using this lot for parking should plan accordingly

Eastbound New Britain Avenue between the Amtrak bridge and South Street - Storm sewer work is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2015, between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Intermittent lane closures should be expected, however traffic in each direction will be maintained.  View map here.

The work is being performed as part of the construction of CTfastrak


Please Be Advised:

  • Signs, cones, barriers, and police will be posted as necessary to help guide the public.
  • Lane closures, traffic shifts, and road closures may may possible in any location.
  • Access to local businesses and residences within the work zone will be maintained.
  • All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.
  • Be alert around railroad tracks. Never stop your vehicle on a railroad crossing.

CONSTRUCTION BULLETIN December 8, 2015

NEW BRITAIN

CTfastrak East Main Street Station - Paving operations are scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2015, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Work will take place at the station platforms. Traffic operations on East Main Street will be maintained, but the platforms will be closed to pedestrians.

Please note that the CTfastrak buses will be detoured to the on-street stops at the station, where commuters will be able to access them.

CTfastrak Program Announcement - August 4, 2015

Hartford

A new traffic signal has been installed at the intersection of Park Street and Francis Avenue. This signal has gone into operation as of August 4, 2015.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to be aware of the new signal and to use caution when approaching the intersection.
