(Newington, CT) -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced today that an online public workshop regarding Connecticut’s bus system will begin on July 25 and conclude on August 5, 2016..
Information gathered during the public workshop will be used as part of the CTDOT Statewide Bus Study to help make the bus transit system meet the needs of Connecticut’s residents and commuters more effectively. The study will propose recommendations to improve Connecticut’s bus system consistent with the goals set forth in Let’s Go CT – the 30-year vision to improve Connecticut’s transportation system.
“I encourage everyone to take part in this important process by viewing the presentation and providing feedback,” said CTDOT Commissioner James Redeker. “The information we receive will be an invaluable tool that will allow us to design our bus system to better serve residents’ needs. Your input is essential and crucial for planning Connecticut’s direction.”
The public is invited to visit www.ctbusstudy.com at any time between July 25 and August 5 and take part in the public workshop. Residents and commuters who choose to participate will watch a brief video about bus travel in Connecticut and then answer questions about their mode of travel, their destinations and how to make bus travel meet their needs. The workshop will take about 20 minutes to complete and can also be accessed on most mobile devices.
